The ceremony honored the legacy of Brig. Gen. Theodore Roosevelt Jr., who was the assistant commanding general for the 4th Infantry Division during Operation Overlord. For his actions on D-Day, Brig. Gen. Roosevelt earned the Medal of Honor.
