Ralph E. Lingert Service Award Medallions
At the 2024 National Reunion the E-Board approved the commissioning of a Neck Hung Medallion to be presented along with the traditional plaque given to the winners; something special that you would want to proudly wear at military functions.
So, we went to work on a design that would be appropriate and fitting for the highest award given by the National 4th Infantry (IVY)Division Association. The Medallion design is a 2-1/2-inch diameter neck hung medallion with a Red, White, Blue Ribbon.
The Frontside outer circle says *NATIONAL FOURTH INFANTRY *(IVY) DIVISION ASSOCIATION * The inner circle says Supporting Soldiers and Veterans * Since 1919 * The front center features the iconic 4th Infantry Division Ivy patch.
The Backside outer circle says the *RALPH E. LINGERT SERVICE AWARD * STEADFAST AND LOYAL * The center of this side features a tablet-like scroll adorned with Ivy leaves accompanied by a staff and Army spear. The engraving area of the scroll reads: Presented To – the Recipients Name – the Day-Month-Year of the award – In recognition of (his/her) devotion to duty.
Recipients of the Lingert Service Award will receive this beautiful, polished Brass Bronze Medallion, second award recipients will receive it in a Silver Medallion.
