A/1/8 INF // September 23, 1941 – May 21, 2023 // Landis was drafted to serve his country in 1967 and fought in Viet Nam until 1968. Sergeant in the Army, 4th Infantry Division - A/1-8, he immediately became a strong force and was respected by all his division. Many medals and achievements for bravery in the line of battle were earned by Landis during his time in Viet Nam. Landis was injured in infantry battle and received a Purple Heart for his bravery and willingness to fight for his country with pride and glory.
