Reminder: this year Veterans Day   11/11/11  unique date, won't happen again for us, hope we all do/plan something special for the day.

12/7/11 Pearl Harbor day   70 years ...again special for all of us, especially our WW2 vets/members

12/14/11   4th in div birthday   hope i am correct

On these dates let's try to wear something of the 4th ID  lapel pin, cap, patch, dog tags, etc. easy way to commemorate.

Next, if any of you went to the National Reunion please let me know, family matters stopped me from going (plus cost). Now the ideas. In NJ we have 2 "zip code" starting numbers 07 and 08. in NY  there are 5, 10, 11. 12. 13. 14. I think maybe we can get some rationalized get togethers centering on activities in effect which are easy to get to be car or in the metro are maybe mass transit. Events with low cost entrance, low cost or free parking, low cost refreshments.  So possible consideration:  for Upper Hudson area: maybe Saratoga Races, for metro area including Long Island consider Belmont races, Staten Island  Yankee minor league games at their stadium, both accessible, Verrazano or ferry, and from NJ we have 3 bridges to Staten Island. For North Jersey meadolands races, Montclair Jackals Minor league baseball at Montclair State U, both easy to get to.  for central Jersey Monmouth races (Fri,Sat,Sun) train or car on GSP. (I know the traffic on a weekend), or Trenton Thunder minor league baseball team for south and central Jersey. 

Please give me a response if any interests you, then we can go about getting schedules and pick some dates.  Someone to help at each site is important as I cannot get to all.
